Abstract: Presently, most of the iron mines in China have to face the issue of transition from open-pit mining to underground mining.Such transition will involve many technical issues and the most important one is how to realize a steady transition and the production convergence.In light of the main issue in the transition from open-pit mining to underground mining, a series of measures for a steady transition were planned, adopted and achieved ideal effect, including staged construction, increase of in-vein measure shaft（drift）engineering and recovery of residual ore.
