Abstract: The research on the new process of vanadium extraction from vanadium containing stone coal by acid leaching under oxygen pressure is described.Investigation is made on the effect of the leaching time，leaching temperature，leachant concentration，liquid/solid ratio，ore particle size and additive dosage on the leaching rate.The research result indicates that the vanadium leaching rate can be higher than 90% after two stage acidic leaching under oxygen pressure at a leaching time of 3~4 h，leaching temperature of 150 ℃，sulfuric acid dosage of 25%~30%，liquid/solid mass ratio of 1.2∶1，ore particle size of -200 mesh and additive dosage of 3%~5%.
