Abstract: In view that highly humid dust is characterized by strong adherence and easy glomeration. The technology of impinging jets is used for its collection, solving the problems such as “pasting” and “hardening” in other dry dust collection methods. Based on the analysis of the mechanism of impinging jet technology, FLUENT software is used to simulate the movement and settlement law of particulates in the impinging jet deduster. The simulation result shows that during the dust collection process by impinging jets, two dust-borne air streams in relative movement collide with each other, making the particulates oscillate to form a high concentration zone. This can increase the probability of particulate agglomeration and enhance the dust agglomeration effect, facilitating the increase of dust collection efficiency.
