Abstract: To realize an optimal design of water supply network for dust-proofing in mine so as to satisfy the requirements on the water flowrate and pressure of the facilities for comprehensive dust-proofing,a mathematic model for optimizing the design of the water supply network for dust-proofing is established, and an improved genetic algorithm (IGA) is used to solve the model.In the case of the network system of Qianjiaying Mine, Kailuan Group, the economic cost and hydraulic performance in the design scheme made by the improved IGA algorithm are better than those by traditional empirical method (TEM).
