Optimal Selection of the Mining Method Based on Grey Relational Method

Abstract: Grey relational analysis was used in the optimal selection of three mining methods proposed for Xinqiao Pyrite Mine.The factors influencing the mining method were classified into four categories: economic indicators, safety indicators, resource utilization rate and technical indicators.The relational degrees of the three mining methods were found to be 0.865, 0.75 and 0.712 and as a result, the 1st method was selected, which was upward horizontal slicing-cemented filling method.The mine practice shows that grey relational theory can well select the mining method and obtain a more scientific analysis result.
