Study on the Beneficiation of Oxide and Sulphide-Mixed Copper Ore from Yulong Mine in Tibet

Abstract: In light of the characteristics of oxide and sulphide-mixed copper ore from Yulong Mine of high pyrite content|oxidation rate, secondary copper minerals content, and content of gangue easy to slime and complex properties, beneficiation tests and bioleaching tests were made for the ore on various flowsheets.It is recommended, through the comparison of test results, to adopt a flowsheet consisting partial copper-sulfur bulk flotation and flotation for separating copper from sulfur, which can obtain a copper concentrate grading 19.54%at a copper recovery of 19.54%, which are good performances.
