Abstract: The starch derivatives DSX was synthesized by graft copolymerization and sulphonation of cross-linking starch and acrylamide with the center of Nitrogen. And its structure was analyzed by the Infrared spectra. An investigation on simulated heavy metal wastewater with 20 mg/L of Cu2+,Pb2+,Zn2+,Cd2+ was studied by using the starch derivatives DXS.It was showed that the average removal rates of Cu2+,Pb2+,Zn2+, Cd2+ were 99.5%,99.4%,99.0% and 99.2% respectively at temperature of 20 ℃, pH 7, DXS of 1.5 g/L for 20 minutes.
