    The numerical analysis models in the conventional stability analysis of mined-out area have over-simplified the shape of mined-out area, leading to too simple models and a poor reliability of the stability analysis results.CMS (Cavity Monitoring System) was used to make a 3D scanning of the mined-out area in underground mine and accurately get the distance from the laser head to the boundary of mined-out area.The positioning point coordinates of total station survey were entered into the CMSPosProcess software and the generated data into 3Dmine software to build the real occurrence model of mined-out area.A study was made to use VC++ to program an application for a direct input of the block centroid coordinates output from the 3Dmine into FLAC3D so as to establish a mechanical model of mined-out area, forming a new method from a practically measurement model to a mechanical calculation model, greatly improving the accuracy and reliability of the stability analysis of mined-out area.Good results were achieved in the static calculation and the stability analysis of the mined-out area in the south branch mining area at -60 m level in Shirengou Iron Mine.

    The resource support capacity of mines depends on many factors such as production capacity, ore grade and available reserve.The larger the mine production capacity is and the more the ore mined is, the stronger its support capacity to the current resource supply will be; the more the available reserve is and the longer the residual mine service life is, the more favorable its long term resource support capacity will be; and the higher the grade of its mineral resource is and the better its ore quality is, the higher its support capacity will be.A comprehensive analysis of China's open-pit mines is made by principal component method to identify the major mines having an important role in supporting China's iron ore supply.Their position in China's iron ore resource supply and their development trend are also analyzed.Finally, suggestions on the policy for improving China's iron ore resource support capacity are made.

    The decision of the form of rockmass engineering instability has been an important issue in the rock engineering field.Based on the summary of the previous studies, the energy dissipation principle and the catastrophe theory, the criteria for the plastic energy catastrophe of rockmass engineering instability were proposed and applied in judging the stability of the horizontal ore stratum in Jinchuan No.2 Mine.Based on  the site engineering geological survey and acoustic detection of the horizontal ore stratum, it is concluded that the ore stratum was newly destroyed and is in the post-peak region, and no abrupt collapse will occur in its mining process.

    The water sump of a certain coal mine at -400 m level is located in a complicated geological structure zone with an extremely water-swellable floor.Under the functions of high tectonic stress, in-situ stress and expansion stress, the previous common support by bolt, mesh, shotcrete and cable can no longer keep the essential stability of wall rock of the sump.Based on the analysis of in-situ geological conditions and wall rock failure reasons, and in view of the deficiencies of the original support design, a full-face reinforced concrete arching method was adopted for the support of the sump's wall rock.The long distance concrete pumping technology was introduced for the first time in mine arching support, which covered the shortage of common manual arching and obtained good technical effects and economic benefits.The research results show that it is very hard to keep the stability of sump in a soft rock stratum with great expansivity only by the support with bolt, mesh, shotcrete and cable.A secondary grouting can effectively improve the wall rock's carrying capacity and the integrity of support structure while a full-face reinforced concrete arching can control the serious floor heave of roadway.

    A hematite mine of Yunnan has a fine dissemination size, where a process consisting of magnetic separation-gravity separation is adopted in production.But the obtained iron concentrate with only Fe grade of 57% can not meet the requirement of pellet production with Fe grade over 62%.In view of this, a concentration test is carried out to improve Fe grade.A combined flow-sheet of stage grinding-stage high intensity magnetic separation-inverse flotation is adopted.When final grinding of 86% -0.038 mm, an iron concentrate with Fe grade of 62.20% and Fe recovery of 56.36% can be obtained.

    In order to provide a foundation to explore the iron sands of an Indonesia beach for domestic enterprises, researches on the ore prosperity and the related beneficiability experiment are carried out.The results showed that the main metallic minerals are titanomagnetite, ilmenite and hematite in iron sands.Then the technical process consisting of wet pre-concentration-grinding-magnetic separation is adopted.When the grinding size was above 76.63 % -325 mesh, a good performance can be achieved with Fe concentrate yield of 59.50 %, Fe grade of 60.28% and iron recovery of 76.13 %.

    This paper analyzed the relationship of the surface electricity of iron concentrate and silicate minerals with pH values of ore pulp, and the hydrolysis behavior of amine collector in ore pulps.On this basis, experiment is made to research the mechanism of amine collector in reverse flotation de-silicates process of iron concentrates.The results showed that the amine-collector in RNH2 does not act with the silicate minerals and could not reduce silicon under strong alkaline; Under strong acid condition, high content of amine-cation (RNH+3) in ore pulps acting with each other reduce or even lose the adsorption on mineral particles, and can not reach the good separation effect either.Hence, in reverse flotation de-silicates process of iron concentrates, an appropriate amine-action concentration should be kept by adjusting the  pH values according to the ore property.

    There are high content of soluble salts as zinc sulfate and ferrous sulfate in some high sulfur lead-zinc deposits in a Yunnan Lead-zinc Mine, so that a large number of Zn2+, Fe2+ metal ions exist in flotation pulps.When pyrite is suppressed with lime in conventional flotation process, a large amount of hydroxide precipitation is produced with reaction of these metal ions with lime, which has a strong inhibitory effect on lead-zinc ores, resulting in an ineffective separation of lead-zinc complex ores.In order to reduce the impact of soluble salts on flotation of lead-zinc ores, the alkali-free flotation is adopted under the natural pH (acid) condition.For lead separation, zinc sulfate and sodium sulfate are taken as inhibitors, and aniline and drugs and ammonium drugs as collector; For zinc, the sodium silicate, sodium, carboxymethyl cellulose are taken as a modifier, PN405 as collector of zinc.Lastly, 59.57% lead concentrate with recovery of 75.14 % and 53.93% zinc concentrate with recovery of 93.70% have been obtained.

    A large scale low grade oxidized lead-zinc mine containing 2.37% Pb and 4.60% Zn with a high ratio of oxidized lead-zinc ores reaching more than 90% has not been exploited.In order to utilize this kind of resources, an experimental study on beneficiation is carried out in which the process flow-sheets of sulfurization-lead floating with xanthate and desliming-sulfurization-zinc floating with amine collector KZF are adopted.A good technical index with 39.92% of lead concentrate containing 5.18% Zn at a Pb recovery of 61.31% and 37.03% of zinc concentrate containing 1.23% Zn and at a Pb recovery of 67.29% is achieved.

    Taking Na2SiO3,Na2SO3 and CMC as the combinatorial depressant, an experimental research on copper-lead separation from flotation concentrates for a copper-lead-zinc multi-metal sulfide mine was made.Such factors for the copper-lead separation as the consumption of the combinatorial depressant, pump density and time were studied to seek for an optimum condition.Based on this, the copper concentrate grading 27.19% and bearing 5.13% of lead at a 97.26% copper recovery and the lead concentrate grading 72.98% and bearing 1.46% of copper at an 88.08% recovery were obtained by a closed-circuit process of one-rough concentration, two-scavenger and two-cleaning separation.

    The iron oxide-copper-gold (IOCG) deposit is an important deposit known since 1990's and is paid more attention by scientists and researchers in mining fields due to its large economic and scientific values.In light of new information and documents in recent year, the IOCG deposit is defined as a kind of hydrothermal Cu or Cu-Au deposits family with low sulfide and high iron oxide (magnetite±hematite with low Ti content).Its characteristics are as follows: valuable metals mainly as Cu, or Cu-Au with low sulfide; hydrothermal deposits with extensive Na-K alteration; strong structural controls; abundant magnetite and/or hematite with low Ti content; no clear relations with igneous rocks.Based on the genetic type of deposits, IOCG deposits can be classified into three types as magmatic IOCG deposits, non-magmatic IOCG deposits and hybrid IOCG deposits.

    Hedong coal mine in Shanxi is among large ones in China and has a very complex geological structure.In-situ stress measurement for the mine depth was required for studying the stress variation.The in-situ stress measurement was made by stress relief method with improved CSIRO cells.New temperature correction technology was used in studying the effect of temperature on the measurement accuracy, the effect of resin elastic modulus and the strain gauge location were also considered, and the formula for correcting the confining pressure was deduced, improving the accuracy of in-situ stress measurement.The measurement results show that the maximum principal stress is nearly horizontal in NNW direction and of the magnitude of about 14 MPa.In the same plane, a kind of in-situ stress has some but not significant change in both magnitude and direction at different points, indicating a uniform in-situ stress field in the mining area.

    A three-dimensional stress testing was conduced at 6 points at -50 m and -100 m levels of Fengshan copper deposit by stress relief method, obtaining the 3D geo-stress data of the 6 measuring points.The results indicate that the geo-stress in the south is larger, with the biggest principal stress being about 15 MPa; and that in the north is smaller, with the biggest principal stress being about 8.0 MPa.The geo-stress in the mining area changes along with the topographic relief, and is obviously controlled by topography and geomorphology.The deadweight of the rock-mass and the tectonism are the main factors forming the geo-stress, and they have different effects on the different areas, with the south area mainly affected by tectonic stress, and the deep area mainly by deadweight.The results provide a reliable basis for the production and tunnel support design of Fengshan Copper Mine.

    The structural relation between Tieshanmiao and Shimenguo ore sections in Tieshan deposit was mostly deduced with insufficient structural geological data, directly affecting the underground mining design.Therefore, the deposit geology was analyzed, the problems in understanding the structural relation between the two ore sections in the original geological report were found out and the method for studying their relation was determined.Firstly, reflected wave seismic exploration and electrical depth sounding were used to found that the original F13 thrust fault was in fact F13 normal fault; secondly, the drilling was used to directly control the connecting site of the two sections, founding that F13  fault was a normal fault.Meanwhile, a new F701 normal fault was found to the north of F13.F13 and F701 normal faults and F4 normal fault in the south base of the Tieshanmiao ore section have jointly formed Tianluozhuang faulted graben.

    A 3D modeling software-UG was used to establish the physical model of the frame and its finite element model in ANSYS and create and import the frame elstomer neutral file into ADAMS.The 3D geometric models of the components on the frame such as front axle, rear axle, tie-rod and A-frame were also created and imported into ADAMS, where the models for the tires and the front and rear suspensions were also established.Based on this, the rigid-elastic coupling dynamics model of the vehicle was established.Harmonic superposition method was used to generate a C-class road model.The ride comfort at the speed of 10 km/h, 20 km/h, 30 km/h and 40 km/h on a random road was tested.The acceleration in fore-back, right-left and vertical directions of the driver seat on the C-class road was simulated by using the rigid-elastic coupling dynamics model.The comparison between the results of the virtual test and real driving test shows that this rigid-elastic coupling dynamics model has sufficient accuracy to provide a basis for the design of mining dumping truck.

    Direct torque control was employed as the speed adjusting control strategy for mine electric locomotive based on the analysis of AC/DC speed adjusting methods.A deep theoretical study was made on the direct toque variable-frequency speed adjusting control system and a corresponding simulation model for mine electric locomotive was established by Simulink dynamic simulation tool in MATLAB.The simulation results show this system has a rapid torque response and good high speed performance.Based on this, an experiment platform of the speed adjusting system for mine electric locomotive was set up by a combined use of TI's TMS320LF2407DSP and IPM.The experiment results and the site testing indicate that this control system has the advantages of high traction force, good speed adjusting performance, easy maintenance and energy conservation.

    Detecting and tracking moving objects in the dangerous area of underground mine plays an important part in coal mine monitoring system, which can issue early warning and prevent dangerous accidents in combination with an interlocking system.For the objects moving in environment with slowly changing or suddenly changing illumination, it is proposed to realize the detection by an improved on-line adaptive learning rate Gaussian mixture model in combination with frame difference, and the background modeling method in combination with color gradient and mathematical morphology, and to remove the shadow by HSV color model, thus enabling a rapid and accurate location of moving object.

    Daye is an underground mine turned from an open-pit one that adopts caving mining method.The serious air leakage from the surface ground during mining process has led to the difficulty in underground ventilation.It was planned to form a capping layer by backfilling with the fragmented rocks and the discarded tailings so as to control the ground air leakage.Based on the laboratory analogue simulation tests, the porosity of the rock particles of four sizes and the air leakage characteristics of the capping were studied and the relationship between the porosity and the cappping height was found, providing not only a theoretical basis for determining the capping height of Daye Iron Mine but also the reference to other similar mines.

    In light of the serious dust pollution in the ore discharge station at -580 m level in Dongguashan Copper Mine, an integral dust control system was proposed, which is composed of three parts: high pressure fog spraying system for depressing dust, ventilation system for dust exhaust and set-limit spraying system.The high pressure fog spraying system has thoroughly solved the dust pollution in ore discharge at this level, raising the dusting efficiency by more than 80% at this level and also improving that of other levels; the application of ventilation system can reduce the dust concentration at this level to below 20 mg/m3 within five minutes of the ore discharge at other levels; and the application of set-limit spraying system has reduced the dust concentration by more than 70% after passing the water curtain.The practical application of this system has achieved remarkable results, which can be the reference to other similar mines.

    The removal of zinc cations from aqueous solution by Ca-bentonite and Na-exchanged bentonite was studied.Such factors of affecting the adsorption of bentonite as the initial concentration of Zn2+, the liquid-to-solid ratio, pH value, adsorption time, stirring speed, temperature, and bentonite particle are investigated.The results showed that the removal of Zn2+ by Ca-bentonite and Na-exchanged bentonite can be equal at 2 h.The removal rate of Zn2+ by bentonite can be improved in various degree by increasing pH value, adsorption temperature, stirring speed, time extension, and decreasing bentonite particle, the initial concentration of Zn2+, and the liquid-to-solid ratio.In a complex system, Pb2+ has not influenced the removal of Zn2+ by both of bentonites, while Cr6+ can decease it.

    The rotating biological contactor is a high efficient immobilized device for microorganism which is suitable for treating the acid mine drainage.The process conditions of the start-up and stabilizing stage of rotating biological contactor are studied.The test result shows that the start-up of reactor can be affected by six consecutive cultivations with 10% inoculation amount.With the repeated biofilm forming process, the cycle of Fe2+ oxidation is shortened continuously, from the initial 100 h to 70 h, and meanwhile, the biofilm's capacity of Fe2+ oxidation tends to become stable.The impact of the hydraulic retention time, rotating speed and inlet concentration on Fe2+ oxidation rate in a stable treatment process for acid mine drainage was investigated.The results show that are the best, the 4 h hydraulic retention time and the 7 r/min rational rotating speed.
