Abstract: The structural relation between Tieshanmiao and Shimenguo ore sections in Tieshan deposit was mostly deduced with insufficient structural geological data, directly affecting the underground mining design. Therefore, the deposit geology was analyzed, the problems in understanding the structural relation between the two ore sections in the original geological report were found out and the method for studying their relation was determined.Firstly, reflected wave seismic exploration and electrical depth sounding were used to found that the original F13 thrust fault was in fact F13 normal fault; secondly, the drilling was used to directly control the connecting site of the two sections, founding that F13 fault was a normal fault.Meanwhile, a new F701 normal fault was found to the north of F13.F13 and F701 normal faults and F4 normal fault in the south base of the Tieshanmiao ore section have jointly formed Tianluozhuang faulted graben.
