Abstract: The closed Maqiaogou tailing reservoir in Jinqu Gold Mine of Henan Jinqu Gold Co., Ltd.owns about 1.8 Mt tailing resources at an average gold grade of 0.87%.To make use of the tailings, a flotation experiment is carried out.The results showed that a gold concentrate grading 12.49 g/t at an 81.36% recovery was obtained from tailings by a closed-circuit of one stage rough concentration, two stage cleaning and two stage scavenger with butyl xanthate and butyl aerofloat as collector and copper sulfate as activator under regrinding of 78% -200 mesh.
