Abstract: The influence of degradation product of the extractant on adsorption behavior of solid particulates was investigated to find out mechanism of interfacial emulsification during copper solvent extraction. The research results showed that degradation product of the extractant promoted adsorption between solid particulates and extractant, and accelerated the formation of emulsification.Meanwhile, the assembling and stabilizing mechanism of interfacial emulsification was discussed by the extended DLVO theory.
