Abstract: The flue gas desulphurization by microorganism technology was established based on Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans biofilm and multiplex iron system. Immobilizing biofilm has formed on the surface of polyhedron empty ball with the characteristics of high porosity and big specific surface area. This particular biofilm is favorable for Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans adsorption and SO2 reduction. Desulphurization test results showed that the conditions of inlet concentration of SO2 under 1 000 mg/m3, flue input of 1.0 m3/h, and circulating fluid flow of 40~50 L/h were feasible.
