Abstract: This paper describes the mineral composition and structure of the Ningxiang type high-phosphorus Oolitic hematite in western Hubei, and emphatically introduces the occurrence of main minerals including Hematite, Limonite, Apatite, Oolitic chlorite, Quartz etc.and the embedment features of the target minerals, such as hematite and phosphate.Then, and the occurrence of phosphorus is analyzed, and the approach on the Iron increase and phosphate reduction and the related main difficulties are summarized from the aspects of process mineralogy.
