Abstract: According to the surface damage caused by underground mining，with the reference of the coal mining under the buildings，water and railway，and combining with the characteristics of band structure of high-grade highway，the paper discussed the damage of surface subsidence，inclination，curvature，horizontal displacement and horizontal deformation on high-grade highway caused by underground mining.It will result in caving of the upper rock layer covering when underground coal resources are mined out to be a certain degree.If mining continued，the damage will lead to the surface and ground deformation，and badly affect the buildings and structures on the surface.For high-grade highway，underground mining will produce failures of moving pavement basin and pavement steps，collapse road pit and tank，settlement of high road embankment，landslides and other damages.
