    Research on Tailings Pond Stability in Northern Coal Mining  Subsidence Area of Sijiaying Iron Mine

    The north district of Sijiaying Iron Mine is a large domestic iron mine developed in recent years.And tailing pond is one of the three main projects in mining,dressing and tailing processing,and plays an important role in construction of the mine.To solve the problem of large tailing pond area badly affecting the environment,the investigation on the status of coal mining subsidence nearby coal mine is carried out,and its stability research is made.It is proposed that the coal mining subsidence be as the iron ore tailings pond.Its application can not only save a lot of land and improve environmental conditions,but the deformation can be controlled within the allowance in a safety operation.It provides a model case for the site selection and construction of tailings pond for similar mines.

    The room-pillar mining method is suitable to horizontal or nearly horizontal ore body.On the premise of keeping safety of the stope,it is important to select reasonable parameters for improving high recovery and lowering ore dilution ratio and loss rate.The finite-difference software FLAC3D  was adopted to build mechanical model of stope structure for horizontal ore,and the numerical simulation was conducted.Then,the influence of structural parameters to the stope stability was analyzed.Aiming at gentle inclined thin ore body in Western Hubei,and by the numerical simulation,the optimum structural parameters were obtained,and ore recovery rate was obtained accordingly,and then the functional relationship of recovery with depth varied was gained.

    In view of the functions of monitoring system of tailing dam,combined with the content and features of safety monitoring data on tailing dam,and based on full understanding on the data mining techniques and its application,a forecasting method of infiltration route based on univariate time series of support vector regression is proposed.That is to select valid samples from the monitoring data of the tailings dam,and optimize the kernel parameters for SVR (Support Vector Regression) by using the leave-one-out method to establish a forecasting model.The results show that a higher accurate forecasting on the infiltration route can be obtained with few samples by this method.

    The recovery of the residual ore-body under the slope of the open-pit,easily results in the second unloading of the slope.Through the numerical analysis,the change mechanism of the slope stress in the mining of the residual ore-body is investigated and the slope stability is analyzed.The result shows that the mining do not affect the slope stability.But the arching mechanism in the roof strata is weakened by the first unloading of the open-pit mining,large tensile stress exists in the surrounding rock of the stope,so the stability of the stope is weakened.

    According to the surface damage caused by underground mining,with the reference of the coal mining under the buildings,water and railway,and combining with the characteristics of band structure of high-grade highway,the paper discussed the damage of surface subsidence,inclination,curvature,horizontal displacement and horizontal deformation on high-grade highway caused by underground mining.It will result in caving of the upper rock layer covering when underground coal resources are mined out to be a certain degree.If mining continued,the damage will lead to the surface and ground deformation,and badly affect the buildings and structures on the surface.For high-grade highway,underground mining will produce failures of moving pavement basin and pavement steps,collapse road pit and tank,settlement of high road embankment,landslides and other damages.

    Taking unclassified-tailings paste as the experimental slurry,the orthogonal design method is adopted to design the experimental scheme.And R/S+ SST rheometer is used to test the rheological characteristic of paste and investigate the effect rule of three factors on rheological parameters,which are weight concentration,cement-tailings ratio and slag-cement ratio.With the aid of the range analysis,the variance analysis and the multiple regression analysis methods,the experimental results showed that the relationship of between yield stress and weight concentration was appeared as an exponential increase function.The paste has the rheological characteristics of slurry,such as thixotropism and shear thinning.Among three factors of weight concentration,cement-tailings ratio and slag-cement ratio,their influence level is weight concentration>slag-cement ratio>cement-tailings ratio.There,weight concentration has a relatively significant effect on the rheological parameters.

    The iron minerals in a certain iron ore of Yunnan mainly exist in hematite-limonite and siderite with high phosphorus of 1.13%. Researches on iron improving and phosphorus decreasing were made through new process of chlorinating segregation-low intensity magnetic separation. Large amount of experiments showed that the optimal conditions were as follows: coke dosages of reducers 10%,chlorinating agent L4 dosages15%,segregation temperature at 1 000 ℃,segregation time for 45 min,grinding fineness of 85.38% -0.074 mm,and low intensity magnetic separation field intensity 0.16 T. Under this condition,Fe grade and recovery rate of iron concentrate can reach 75.33%~76.44% and 83.63%~85.66% respectively,and phosphorus content decrease to 0.215%~0.218%.

    With the feature of low grade,high pyrite content,serious oxidization in some parts and fine disseminated grain in a refractory gold ore of Henan,experimental studies on flotation and cyanidation leaching were carried out.The results showed that grade and recovery of gold concentrate were only 18.72 g/t and 2.55% respectively by flotation.In cyanidation leaching process,gold leaching rate reached 81.11% under the condition of grinding fineness of -0.074 mm 90%,the liquid-solid ratio of slurry 2∶1,pH value about 11.5 by adding lime for 5 h,and 1 kg/t Sodium cyanide at a 72 h of cyanidation leaching time.Hence,this cyanidation leaching process is recommended to treat this ore.

    Based on investigation of natural flotation of chalcopyrite and pyrite,effects of lime (adjusting slurry pH value),sodium hydrogen bisulfite,copper ion on floatability of chalcopyrite and pyrite,effects of citric acid on floatability of Cu2+  activated pyrite and chalcopyrite,and effects of combining inhibitor of citrate acid-sodium hydrogen bisulfite-lime on floatability of Cu2+  activated pyrite and chalcopyrite,the combining citrate acid-sodium hydrogen bisulfite-lime is used as inhibitor to make the flotation separation of artificially mixed ores of pyrite and chalcopyrite activated by Cu2+ Then,copper concentrate grading at 24.12% with an 88.48% Cu recovery and Sulfur concentrate grading at 49.69% with a 72.51% S recovery were obtained.     Through the flotation tests of single foam pipe,the activation performance of copper sulfate,ammonium chloride,lead nitrate in butyl xanthate system,and  self-developed T-1 on marmatite with Fe grade of 7.21% in Yunnan Lancang are investigated.The results showed that bad activation effect on marmatite was achieved by ammonium chloride and lead nitrate; While the recovery of marmatite can reach to 61.30% by CuSO4 at pH=13; The new activator T-1 brings the recovery of marmatite up to 64.10% at pH=10.Comparing with CuSO4,T-1 can not only result in good activation performance,but reduce the reagent costs by 20%.

    The tests of the whole-grain column leaching and washing-sand column leaching-stirring leaching on the oxide copper ore from Yulong copper mine are carried out.The result showed that the whole-grain column leaching has a lower permeability,and easily resulted in the accumulated fluid if more water dropping,leading it difficult to leach out; After washing,its permeability can be improved,leading the copper leaching rate reaching above 78%.If the wash-stirring leaching is adopted at the same time,the copper leaching rate can reach above 96%.According to the tests results,it is concluded that the process of washing-sand leaching-stirring leaching is reasonable for the oxide copper ore of Yulong copper mine.

    A certain Cu-Pb-Zn poly-metallic sulfide ore in Xinjiang has a close associated relationship with each other and owns complicated ore nature.In view of its characteristics,the beneficiation tests with the process of copper-lead mixed flotation,mixed flotation separation for copper-lead concentrate and zinc concentration with mixed flotation of tailings are carried out.Then copper concentrate with Cu grade of 28.34% at an 85.26% recovery,lead concentrate with Pb grade of 53.18% at an 85.53% recovery,and zinc concentrate with Zn grade of 57.40% at an 85.71% recovery are obtained respectively.It provides a basis for reasonably recovering these mineral resources.

    The process of silver flotation-cyaniding leaching of silver concentrate-copper flotation of leaching tailings is adopted to treat a copper-bearing silver mine,where,large amount of cyanide are consumed by copper,and copper can not easily be recovered under the action of cyanide. Hence,the proposal is that some copper concentrate is firstly obtained by the prior flush flotation from run-of-mine,then following by the optimizing scheme of the original process. The laboratory tests for the above proposal are carried out. The results showed that some qualified copper concentrate with Cu grade and recovery of 25.02% and 43.82% were firstly obtained from raw mines. Meanwhile,copper content in silver concentrate decreased to be a lower level of 1.80%. This method helps to reduce losses of copper and improve the following cyanide leaching environment of silver.

    In view of characteristics of easily-floating and uneven distribution of valuable minerals for a poly-metallic Cu-Pb-Zn sulfide mine in Qinghai,the beneficiation tests were carried out by process of prior flotation of copper,lead and zinc in turn with new-type special collector YK1-11 and new-type inhibitor YK3-09. And the inverse flotation was adopted in lead concentration. Then,copper concentrate with Cu grade of 18.02% at a 57.50%recovery,lead concentrate with Pb grade of 51.43% at a 33.20% recovery,zinc concentrate with Zn grade of 45.83% at a 48.95% recovery,Pb-Zn concentrate mixture with Pb and Zn grade of 31.53% and 38.46% at a 42.56% Pb recovery and 34.05% Zn recovery were respectively achieved. Also,the associated silver in ores was effectively enriched,thus providing a basis for rational exploitation of the ores.

    In order to provide a basis for reasonable recovering this ore,the process mineralogy research on copper-nickel ore in Danba,Sichuan was made.Research results showed that the mineral has a complex composition,where the copper mineral is mainly in chalcopyrite,and the nickel minerals mainly exist in the forms of nickel pyrite,violarite,capillose,sulphide nickel ore.Copper and nickel minerals are embedded in superfine particle,and are generally packed by the gangue minerals in the form of fibrous.Meanwhile,copper and nickel minerals are closely associated.There are amounts of magnesium gangue minerals in ores with characteristics of soft texture,easily sliming,good floatability,high adsorption ability.These will bring seriously bad impact to the separation of copper and nickel ore.

    Fine-disseminated refractory minerals are abundant in china,including many metal minerals such as Fe,Cu,Mo,Pb-Zn,Au etc.Stirred mill is the key technology to acquire high-grinding products of fine liberated refractory ores.Several application cases for fine-grinding of Mo,Fe,Au ores by stirred mill were illustrated in this paper.The results indicated that the stirred mill improved the liberation level of single mineral,and made the grain distribution in a narrow range and reduce the sliming of the target minerals.Then,the grade and recovery of concentrate can be improved and the energy efficiency is greatly increased.

    Through research on the radon anomaly model of six typical deposits,such as Guangxi Limu tin mine,Shanhu tungsten and tin mine,Dachang tin mine,Jiumao tin mine,Fuzichong lead and zinc mine,Suoluo gold mine in Guangxi Bama county,the radon anomaly model of the fault-controlled deposit shows that the one has a single top peak or double peaks,and the other one is that Dachang bedded or bedded-like deposits showing as the petroleum radon anomaly model with low medium,wavy multi-peak and higher surrounding.It looks like a “wavy peak” with double top peaks and multiple sets of folder low peak.If radon measurement is available for the surface conditions in mining area,the establishment of the abnormal pattern can provide a reference for the radon measurements of similar mines.

    3D ore deposit modeling is one of the core techniques for digital mine. Combining with the theory of the 3D ore-body modeling,an ore-body solid model on Ashele copper deposit is established,and then the ordinary kriging method is applied to estimate the reserves and grade distribution of ore-body.Finally,the spherical model for ordinary kriging estimation is obtained and 3D grade model of ore-body is established.The results indicated that the established model can accurately reflect the spatial and grade distribution of ore-body.It gives a mathematics model for further exploitation of mineral resources.

    Taking the process control of hoist electric control system as a starting,the structure and principle of DC hoist electric control system are firstly discussed in detail and the relative merits of DC drive system is analyzed.Then,the paper presents the structure and principle of main AC hoist electric control systems for the current domestic mine in China,analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of high voltage serial-resistance speed-regulation of the AC wound rotor asynchronous motor rotor,AC-AC frequency converter speed-regulation of low-speed direct synchronous motor and AC-DC-AC frequency converter speed-regulation of AC motor.Through comparing the correlated characteristics of AC and DC drive systems,the general principle of reasonable choices of various hoists electric control systems is present,thus supplying design foundation for selecting schemes for various hoists electric control systems in future.

    The technology of the geological advanced prediction is applied to the safety monitoring of mine roof to find out the abnormal ahead of the working face and provide advanced information for the design of stope and tunnel,and the safety monitoring and control.Combined with microseismic monitoring technology,a new mine safety pre-warning and monitoring management system can be formed.And with the monitoring data,the stability of the surrounding rock can be analyzed to achieve the three-level pre-warning for mines.Therefore,the shortcomings of static and qualitative of traditional mine safety management are overcome,and the remote,dynamic,real-time tracking monitoring are realized in mines with three-dimensional visualization of the microseismic events achieved.It is of great significance to guide the safe production in mines and improve the level of safety management and reduce the mine disaster loss.

    Ecological capacity of Pingshuo mining area in 2005 was calculated through the ecological footprint analysis.The productive land use structures under three different conditions are simulated through changing the structure of land utilization:1.The damaged land without any countermeasures;2.The damaged land with the prior reclamation of the eco-efficiency; 3.The damaged land with prior reclamation of farming.Then the influence of coal resources development in mining area on the ecological capacity and the recovery of the ecological capacity with human intervention are calculated.Four reclamation models are set up,that is,the land suitability mode,the ecological productive land area improvement mode,the production improvement mode for per unit land,the different capital investment mode.Then the ecological capacities in mining area are calculated with the four modes above,thus providing a theoretical basis for the land reclamation and the sustainable utilization of the reclaimed lands.

    According to the mining status and environmental disruption of Beiminghe iron mine,the paper evaluates the present situation of mining area's collapse pit,indicates that environmental control is important and urgent,and points out the main and minor problems in the environmental treatment.In the light of existing regularity of mining environmental treatment,a long-term measure of treatment,restoration and utilization process is proposed.At last,the paper proposes five-year treatment measures to control the environment of collapse area,and produces a feasible schedule.It has a guiding significance for ecologic restoration in collapse zone of Beiminghe Iron Mine and is important as a reference for other similar projects.

    This paper analyzes the mechanisms of dust production in bucket wheel stocker and reclaimer,and  proposes water spraying dust-settling technology of self-impingement liquid jet for this machine.Some key parameters of affecting the efficiency of dust control in the water spraying dust-settling of self-impingement liquid jet are investigated,such as flow rate,spraying velocity,rotary speed,jet injection angle between jet flow and loading bucket etc.The practice showed that this water spraying dust settling of self-impingement liquid jet had more ideal effect than other de-dusting technology.It has feature of simple structure,less investment,reliable operation,and easy maintenance without secondary pollution.Due to its high wind resistance ability,dusts can be controlled to be over 80%.So this technique is a good dust removing way for bucket wheel stocker and reclaimer.

    The microwave-organic modified bentonite was synthesized by using hexadecyl trimethyl ammonium bromide as modifier under microwave heating condition. The adsorptive effects of modified bentonite on reactive emerald green KN(anthraquinone) and reactive flavine K(quinine),and dye wastewater with 2 000 color tint and 620 mg/L of  CODCr were investigated. The results showed that the decolorization rate and CODCr removal efficiency of dye wastewater reached 97.5% and 92.8% respectively under the condition of solution pH value 6.0,modified bentonite dosage of 2 g,and reaction time of 15 min at temperature of 60 ℃. Its treatment effect is better than that of the traditional organic modified bentonite and activated carbon as well.

    With the traditional production technology and taking Chengchao iron tailings of Wusteel as the main raw materials,black body brick is prepared by adding a mount of self-developed coloring aid additives. So,the effective method of producing low-cost and high-grade building materials is explored. The tests result indicated that under the condition of the ratio of iron tailing to TM of 98.4∶1.6,ball grinding time 36 h,slurry equalizing time 24 h,water adding by 6% in pelleting,pelleting hold time of 48 h,molding pressure 60 MPa and heat preservation for 50 min at 1 180 ℃,the performance of black body brick met the national standards with water adsorption rate of 0.30%,rupture modulus of 69 MPa,damage intensity of 1 503 N.

    A kind of tungsten gravity tailing containing 0.02% of molybdenum has a comprehensive recovery value. The flotation experiments on recovery of Molybdenum from this tailing indicated that molybdenum concentrate with grade of 46.39% and recovery rate of 68.48% is obtained in full process of one roughing under rough grinding of 40% -0.074 mm and coal oil as collector,and following four cleaning for rough concentrate under regrinding fineness of 80% -0.074 mm,and taking lime as pH modifying agent,sodium sulfide and sodium silicate as the depressant respectively.

    Based on the experimental study on the ingredients and firing,the firing tests of cementing materials with mixture of iron tailings has been successfully completed and a breakthrough is obtained.According to the GB/175-2007 standard of common portland cement,the cementing material sample with addition of 6% iron tailings has got the strength that is equal to 52.5# portland cement; the cementing material sample with addition of 10% iron tailings has got the strength that is equal to 42.5R portland cement; and the cementing material sample with addition of 10% iron tailings has got the strength that is equal to 32.5 portland cement.XRD,SEM and EDS testing results on the samples show that the cementing material fired with iron ore tailings have a similar mineral composition to the clinker aggregate of Portland cement.
