Abstract: The microwave-organic modified bentonite was synthesized by using hexadecyl trimethyl ammonium bromide as modifier under microwave heating condition. The adsorptive effects of modified bentonite on reactive emerald green KN(anthraquinone) and reactive flavine K(quinine),and dye wastewater with 2 000 color tint and 620 mg/L of  CODCr were investigated. The results showed that the decolorization rate and CODCr removal efficiency of dye wastewater reached 97.5% and 92.8% respectively under the condition of solution pH value 6.0,modified bentonite dosage of 2 g,and reaction time of 15 min at temperature of 60 ℃. Its treatment effect is better than that of the traditional organic modified bentonite and activated carbon as well.
