Abstract: Through the flotation tests of single foam pipe，the activation performance of copper sulfate，ammonium chloride，lead nitrate in butyl xanthate system，and  self-developed T-1 on marmatite with Fe grade of 7.21% in Yunnan Lancang are investigated.The results showed that bad activation effect on marmatite was achieved by ammonium chloride and lead nitrate; While the recovery of marmatite can reach to 61.30% by CuSO4 at pH=13; The new activator T-1 brings the recovery of marmatite up to 64.10% at pH=10.Comparing with CuSO4，T-1 can not only result in good activation performance，but reduce the reagent costs by 20%.
