Process Mineralogy Characteristics of Danba Copper-nickel Ore in Sichuan

Abstract: In order to provide a basis for reasonable recovering this ore,the process mineralogy research on copper-nickel ore in Danba,Sichuan was made.Research results showed that the mineral has a complex composition,where the copper mineral is mainly in chalcopyrite,and the nickel minerals mainly exist in the forms of nickel pyrite,violarite,capillose,sulphide nickel ore.Copper and nickel minerals are embedded in superfine particle,and are generally packed by the gangue minerals in the form of fibrous.Meanwhile,copper and nickel minerals are closely associated.There are amounts of magnesium gangue minerals in ores with characteristics of soft texture,easily sliming,good floatability,high adsorption ability.These will bring seriously bad impact to the separation of copper and nickel ore.
