Abstract: In order to maximized the recovery rate of high grade copper pillar in the Hongtoushan copper mine shallow middle segment, took residual ore in -47 m middle segment as study object, established the three-dimensional model of remnant by 3D Mine, combined with the morphology and occurrence conditions of residual ore, proposed a economy reasonable and technically feasible solution residual ore mining program, simulated and analyzed the horizontal displacement and the minimum principal stress of pillars during residual ore mining by MIDAS/GTS and FLAC3D.The analyses show most pillars are safety and reliability in the mining process, except 1#、9-1#、9-2# and 10# pillars have a great horizontal displacement in the simulation which should recovery under a certain security measures or keep as permanent.
