Stability Calculation and Analysis of the Yujiaquan Tailing Dam

Abstract

Abstract: Based on the investigation of the Engineering Geological Conditions，the stability coefficient of the Yujiaquan tailing dam when dam body in 334 m under normal situation，flood situation and special situation is respectively calculated by limit equilibrium method and Fast Lagrangian Analysis of Continua method（FLAC）.The result indicated that the tailing dam was safe in these situation，but the stability coefficient in special situation was only 1.06，just satisfy the requirement of 1.05，therefore，it should pay more attention to the tailing dam stability in special situation（earthquake).
