Abstract: With the largest coal seam thickness of 130 m,Laohutai coal mine has 14 large-scale fault zones and mining history more than eighty years in,so the hydrological condition is very complex. The water inrush risk of Laohutai coal mine are analyzed by Midas-GTS software and engineering data, and the detailed analysis on water inrush source and channel is made. The water inrush source includes:aquifer of quaternary alluvium, surface water, water accumulation in movement basin, water in the faults and old mining area; the channel are mainly water flowing fractured zone and activated faults induced by mining. The conclusion is that the current 73003# and 73004# working face have high risk of water inrush, which are required to take the necessary measures for continuing mining.
