Abstract: The features and difficulties of beneficiation of high phosphorus oolitic hematite were sketched.High intensity magnetic separation-reverse flotation，magnetizing roasting-magnetic separation，roasting-magnetic separation-reverse flotation，reverse flotation and processes of dephosphorization were used to treat these ores by mineral processing researchers，and the research results were summarized. However，a satisfactory separation index of conventional mineral processing method has never been achieved. But deep reduction-high efficient magnetic separation is an effective technology for utilization of high phosphorus oolitic hematite. According to the problems of the new technology，the future research direction of high phosphorus oolitic hematite was suggested.
