Abstract: An iron ore in northwest China contains TFe grade of 35.72% and P 0.77%,and magnetite constitutes 86.62% of the iron ores that disseminates in the form of micro-fine particles. The experiments were carried out by feeding particle of wet pre-concentration for discarding the tailings, stage grinding-low intensity magnetic separation and reverse flotation for degrading phosphorus in concentrations of low intensity magnetic separation. The results show that wet pre-concentration for discarding the tailings can increase the grade of feed and decrease the dosage for grinding remarkably. The eligible iron concentrates with reasonable grade of Fe and P can not obtained by the process of two-stage grinding-low intensity magnetic separation.Through the dephosphorization reverse flotation process of one-stage roughing,one-stage cleaning and three-stage scavenging for iron concentrate of the low intensity magnetic separation, the finally iron concentrate of Fe grading at 64.78% and P at 0.139% with Fe recovery of 68.01% was achieved.
