Reclamation Suitability Evaluation of the Tailing Pond in Hongtoushan Copper Mine

Abstract: Land reclamation suitable assessment of tailing pond is an important part of the land reclamation proposals. According to the principle of tailings reclamation appropriate land type selection,the factors that could influence heavy pollution tailings reclamation,including slope,soil layer thickness effective terrain,irrigation and drainage water conditions,basal pollution,stability,soil texture,pH value,salt concentration,land area. The integrated error rate method is used to evaluation the tailing pond from suitable for glebe,suitable for garden,suitable for forest land,suitable for grass land. According to the calculation get the total deviation rate of the each evaluation unit reclamation in the Hongtoushan,and the more reasonable reclamation direction mainly is the level second or third grassland,level third woodland. To protect the mining area environment,Main reclamation should choose the grassland and shrubs type woodland. The main restrictive factors are pollution,basal stability,soil texture,that could provide reference for the design of the tailings reclamation and the late planning.
