Abstract: A collophane mine of Sichuan contains high contents of magnesium and silicon impurities, among which phosphorite is disseminated coarsely. The technical conditions of the ore were investigated by adopting the process of inverse flotation-direct flotation. The results showed that under grinding fineness of -0.074 mm 77% for the ore, phosphate concentrate with P2O5 grade of 36.10% and recovery of 84.94% was obtained by the flow-sheet of one-stage inverse flotation for magnesium removal with YC as collector in acidic environment, and the process of one roughing+ one scavenging direct flotation of cellophane with combining water glass and JXL-2 as inhibitor, JXL-1 as collector of phosphate materials in weak alkaline conditions. The contents of SiO2 and MgO in the concentrate were decreased by 4.13% and 4.52% respectively compared with that in run-of-mine.
