Abstract: In order to treat the open pit properly and efficiently，and to avoid various hazards，the techniques on treatment and comprehensive utilization of open pits are studied.According to the impacts of open pits on surrounding structures or buildings，open pits are classified into different categories，and the main hazards of open pits are analyzed.For different open pits in different areas，different measures on treatment and comprehensive utilization of open pits are put forwards.Meanwhile，the features and application conditions of the measure are exposited.In addition，taking the actual project as a case，the paper demonstrates the application of the measures.The research result enriches and develops the related theories of open pit treatment，and also it provides a good reference for the actual open pit treatment in different conditions.
