Abstract: College of Resources and Civil Engineering,Northeastern University Focusing on the safe and high-efficient recovery of top pillars at -580 m level of Xincheng Gold Mine, four panel mining sequences were proposed and each panel mining sequence is optimized.Firstly, the structural planes at stope roof and sidewall at -580 m level middle section were characterized with the advanced ShapeMetrix 3D digital photogrammetry measuring system, and the physical and mechanical parameters were calculated according to the Hoek-Brown strength criterion.Then,3D visualization models containing roadways and man-made roof were constructed and adopted to make numerical simulation on the excavation processes. Finally, through analyzing on and comparing with the excavation-induced response of principle stress and deformation around the stope and other key positions, together with the damage around the stope under the different schemes, the optimal mining sequence is determined. The numerical results may provide reference for the safe recovery of top pillars at Xincheng Gold Mine.
