Abstract: Based on Micromine software，the paper summarizes the specific process of the traditional method and the geostatistical methodThrough comparative analysis on two typical deposits and reserves estimation results with two kinds of methods，it is considered that the geostatistical method is significantly superior to the traditional method with representative of the geological ore block method，the parallel section method，since it takes into account the level of engineering control，involves the kriging estimation variance，and also can realize the automationSo，tt can be directly applied in mining scheme.
