Abstract: A seaside titanomagnetite in Indonesia belongs to bench ores with high Titanium-Ferrum and low sulfur-phosphorus. In order to realize high efficient separation of titanomagnetite and achieve full utilization of resources, conditioning tests of reduction roasting process is made by adopting the process of direct reduction roasting - grinding - low intensity magnetic separation. The results showed that under the condition of bituminous coal A usage of 30%,the amount of additive NCS 11%,reduction roasting temperature at 1 250 ℃ for 60 min, grinding fineness of -43 μm 6902%,and low intensity magnetic field strength of 151 kA/m,the reduced iron powder with TFe grade of 93.74%,recovery of 95.91% and TiO2 grade of 0.45% was obtained with high efficient separation of Titanium-Ferrum,the enrichment of titanium in tailings providing prerequisites for its recycling.
