Optimization of Beneficiation Process for a Silver-Copper Polymetallic Ore in Fujian

Abstract: Due to low copper grade in a silver-copper polymetallic ore in Fujian,a single silver floatation process was used to produce silver concentrate while obtaining gold and copper as associated elementsHowever,the pricing rate of copper is only 01,since copper has great detrimental effects on cyanide leaching process of gold and silver,which also influence the pricing rate for gold and silver Hence,the process consisting of partial copper priority speed flotation in combination with gold-silver bulk flotation process was conducted in order to improve the economic benefits for mine and metallurgy plants and provide basis for the further technology improvement and process transformation The results showed that the economic values of gold,silver and copper were significantly increased by adopting the process flow-sheet of the copper speed flotation of one roughing and two cleaning and the silver flotation of one roughing,one scavenging,and two cleaning,under the mesh grinding of on-site Copper concentrate with Cu,Au and Ag grade of 2203%,3221 g/t,and 2 36000 g/t and recovery of 4651%,3221%,and 1254%,were obtained respectively Meanwhile,silver concentrate with Cu,Au and Ag grade of 149%,412 g/t,and 1 23600 g/t,and the recovery of 4023%,5269%,and 8401% respectively were achieved respectively.
