Abstract: Bacterial leaching of ore has important significance in comprehensive utilization of minerals and ecological environmental protection.A leaching strain named SKDYJ-1 with the capabilities of acidophilic, oxidizing Fe2+ was isolated from acid mine water of Yanzhou Coal Mine.Through analysis on its 16S rDNA gene sequences,it is found that 98% of the strain 16S rDNA gene sequences are homologous with Pantoea agglomerans P1SAA (FJ611818),called eosinophils pantoea agglomerans. Its morphology, growth characteristics and Fe2+ oxidation were investigated. The results indicated that strain SKDYJ-1 was Gram-negative in the rod.The optimum growth temperature for this strain was 30 ℃.Under the culture temperatures of 25 ℃,30 ℃ and 35 ℃,the maximum oxidation rates of the strain SKDYJ-1 on Fe2+ showed as 2.79% ,6.52% and 5.59% respectively with a high leaching capacity.
