Experimental Study on Beneficiation of Quartz-vein Type Molybdenum Ore in Fujian

Abstract: There are abundant molybdenum resources in Fujian with relatively low level of development and utilization. The chemical elements and composition of the minerals, and the occurrence of the main valuable minerals in the quartz vein type ore in Fujian has been analyzed. The suitable grinding fineness of flotation separation, suitable comparison of collector and frother of rough flotation,comparison of sodium sulfide and mercaptoacetic sodium acid as inhibitor of one concentrating has been confirmed through tests, and the closed circuit process of one roughing, two scavenging and six cleanings from exploratory tests were confirmed. The tests result showed that molybdenum concentrates with molybdenum grade 46.23% and recovery rate 86.20% has been obtained by the flotation from the crude molybdenum with Mo grade of 0.19%.
