Curtain Grouting Layout and Process Optimization under Complex Water-rich Environment

Abstract: Curtain grouting can effectively cut off the groundwater recharge in exploitation areas,which creates conditions for the safe mining of ore-body under complex water-rich environment.Based on the detailed investigation on hydrogeological environment in mining area,water plugging effect of the curtain grouting under different curtain lines and grouting parameters were analyzed through the industrial tests,with the water plugging rate as index.By optimizing the lines and layout parameters of curtain grouting,drilling volume was reduced by 36.01% through the layout of unequal-spacing and wide-spacing holes.Modified solidified cured slurry (90%) and pulverized coal ash solidified slurry (10%) as grouting material reduced the costs of curtain project.The results show that the maximum water level difference on both sides of the curtain was up to 40.6m,and the plugging water rate reached 77.96%.Curtain grouting project gained the desired water plugging effect.
