Abstract: In order to achieve driving anchor machine quick tunneling of S6-8 tail entry in Changcun Coal Mine with complicated geological conditions of high gas and thick coal seam，the temporary supporting device of driving anchor machine was improved，and gas control measures under quick tunneling were proposed to determine reasonable support parameters.Considering two factors affecting the excavation speed such as floor inclination and coal wall caving，the construction process was optimized.The application results showed that during the construction period，the driving anchor machine increased the tunneling footage to 20 m/d，and work efficiency to 0.44 m per man.These greatly improved the tunneling speed of coal roadway in Changcun Coal Mine and effectively alleviated the tensive situation of the relay between mining and tunneling.
