Abstract: Open-pit mine slope engineering is a complex system engineering of relating to the analysis of multi phase and multi dimensional data, such as engineering investigation, analysis and calculation, construction, and monitoring. With the development of mining, the geological information and engi-neering information from slope exposing and engineering investigation become more and more complex, which makes it difficult to clearly describe the relationship among all these data though the traditional 2D maps. Therefore,it is urgent to make multi-data fusion analysis and 3D visualization,in order to understand the complex data and make a scientific decision.Combined with digital prospect of slope engineering and based on the virtual reality system platform of Northeastern University,a virtual reality system is formed,in which the virtual scene includes 3D geological model and engineering model, and the reality system owns the database query and interactive control function on the exploration data inte-gration,analysis of calculation results, and the measurement.Taking the eastern slope of Sijiaying Iron Mine as a case, its multi-data fusion analysis and virtual visualization of engineering prospection, field investigation and calculation can be realized to reach the goal of evaluating the open-pit slope stability and decision-making.
