Abstract: Considering the influence of the composite bolt-rock bearing structure to the support force and the roadway deformation, based on the composite bolt-rock bearing structure, and depending on the limit tension-compression failure criteria of rock and Fenner-Castenay formula, the support force and the deformation of circular roadway were analyzed, thus deriving out the formula of the minimum support resistance and the maximum allowable deformation of the bolt supporting roadway.Depending on the formula, the calculation analysis on samples showed that the minimum support resistance and the maximum allowable deformation of the circular tunnel was positively correlated with the depth of roadway. The minimum support force of the roadway decreased with the increasing of the thickness and internal friction angle of the composite bolt-rock bearing structure, while the maximum allowable deformation of the tunnel increased. It was more reasonable to take bolt-rock bearing structure into account while calculating the minimum support resistance and the maximum allowable deformation of the circular roadway.
