Abstract: The process of tailings solidifying with deep thickening and dewatering is proposed，and applied into tailings disposal of Wusteel Jinshandian Iron Mine.The tailings concentration after thickening reached 65%.With the addition of solidifying agent after three days，tailings strength reaches 0.05MPa or more.The solidifying effect is verified through a series of laboratory tests，showing that the effect can meet the requirements.At the same time，combining with the actual situation of the mine，the service system for solidifying and dry stacking of tailings is investigated for smooth operation in production.The disposal of tailings in Jinshandian mine is considered as a success case for the implementation of dry stacking in the southern rainy areas in China，and it is an important reference for similar projects in the southern rainy areas.
