Abstract: The Cu-Co-bearing tailings, from Huili Sichuan Province, contain 0.84% Cu and 0.33% Co.It exhibits higher oxidation degree with the -400 mesh content of approximately 65%.In order to recover the useful components maximumly and reduce the environmental hazards of remained metal, the recovery of Cu and Co was conducted by the process of acid leaching after sulfuration flotation. The tests results demonstrated that the Cu-Co concentrate containing 7.14% Cu and 4.15% Co with the recovery of 76.11% Cu and 87.16% Co,respectively, was obtained through process of one roughing, two cleaning and two scavenging and middlings returned in order sulfuration flotation process. The leaching efficiency of Cu and Co reached 86.74% and 81.63% respectively under the condition of mass ratio 15% between sulfuric acid,liquid-solid ratio 4∶1,extraction temperature 75 ℃,extraction time 100 min.The gross recoveries of Cu and Co were 66.01% and 70.91%,and the tailings were utilized preferably.
