Abstract: Calculation of refrigerating capacity required by single heading face cooling in metal mine can provide basis for the selection of cooling machine.With local pressure fan ventilation for the hypothesis，the cooling calculation model of single heading face in metal mine is set up and the calculation program of refrigerating capacity for single heading roadway is written using the Visual Basic.Then FLUENT6.3 software was used to simulate the cooling calculation model of single heading roadway in metal mines.The simulation results showed that the cooling capacity calculated by the calculation model of single-heading roadway can make the air flow for cooling the heading face reach the thermal environment parameters of the tunneling face.This model can provide reference and help for on-site cooling engineering designer and technical personnel.
