Abstract: The basic concept of mining system engineering is introduced,the development trend of mining system engineering for 60 years is combed,and the development characteristics of mining systems engineering is summarized.Then,the research methods for mining systems engineering are discussed.Through the analysis of the present research,the characteristics of the mining system engineering are put forward.Finally,the challenges faced by the mining system engineering,and its application in interdisciplinary and large system optimization in the future,even in the intelligent mining are pointed out.In the current condition,to speed up the innovation development of mining systems engineering has a significant role in promoting informatization of China's mining enterprises and updating the modern management level.
