Abstract: In order to investigate the possibility of using solidification-stabilization technology treat lead tailings, using mineral waste slag and steel slag as raw material to prepare binding material(metallurgical slag binding material),solidification effects of metallurgical slag on lead ions was studied. Results indicated that, the leaching concentrations of metallurgical slag solidification were lower than the cement. The 28-day unconfined compressive strength of metallurgical slay sample were about twice to cement, and the 56-day unconfined compressive strength of metallurgical slag sample remained stable. X-ray diffraction(XRD) and Fourier Transform Infrared(FTIR) spectroscopy analysis results showed that, the microstructure of Ettringite and [SiO4]4- in metallurgical paste is more complex than cement, and exist zeolite phase structure, which is the reason for good lead solidification performance.
