Abstract: From views of safe and effective mining，and combining with the factors of technical conditions of large low-grade thick ore body，the subsequent filling mining process，and the productivity and mining preparation，two mining schemes were put forward.The stability of stope was analyzed by using finite element software Midas/GTS.The results show that，at first scheme，the center of roof rock in two-step unconsolidated filling stope produced significantly plastic strain within the end panel，and the whole stability at first scheme is lower than the second scheme.Based on the production capacity and the accumulative yearly output of ore in the typical panel，it is suggested that the first scheme is favorable during the period of reaching full capacity，and the second scheme is favorable for the period after the full capacity achieved by taking comprehensive consideration on safety，production capacity and different characteristics of each mining scheme.
