Application of a New High-efficiency and Low-temperature-resistant Collectors in Reverse Flotation Desilication of Iron Ore

Abstract: Most anionic collector for iron ore adopts fatty acid collector which need to be heating flotation to insure effect.A new low-temperature-resistant collector CY-20 was synthesized by chemical modification method and complex formulation and applied in low-temperature reverse-flotation of iron ore with quick-solving depressant CYZ-20.The results indicated that an iron concentrate with Fe grade of 65.86% and recovery of 95.18% was obtained by CY-series reagents at the temperature of 15 ℃,which was close to the flotation indexes obtained at the temperature of 30 ℃,and it was shown that CY-20 collector with an excellent low-temperature resistance and high selectivity can realize normal temperature operation of the whole anionic reverse flotation system,which was important for energy conservation and clean production of mine.
