Abstract: There is 0.11% Mo in molybdenum ore from a molybdenum dressing plant in Luoyang.Molybdenum mainly exists in form of molybdenite, molybdenum in molybdenite accounted for 88.07% of total molybdenum.Kerosene was used as collector in on-site molybdenum flotation, viscosity of kerosene reduced in winter, dispersion ability weakens in pulp, flotation index is poor.To improve molybdenum flotation index at low temperature, molybdenum flotation using modified kerosene as collector was conducted. Results showed that:using magnetization modified kerosene in molybdenum flotation in winter can improve flotation index; When pulp temperature is 5 ℃,using un-magnetization kerosene and magnetization kerosene(magnetic field intensity of 160 kA/m,magnetization time for 1 min) as collector respectively,2# oil as frother, via one roughing one cleaning one scavenging closed circuit flotation,Mo grade obtained when using magnetization kerosene as collector is 0.5 percentage points higher than that using un-magnetization kerosene as collector,Mo recovery rate increased by 2.53 percentage points.Test has guiding significance for solve the problem of molybdenum recovery rate is lower in winter than the other three quarters in the dressing plant.
