Abstract: In order to discuss the probability of simplifying the flotation reagent system of lead-zinc sulfide ore, preferential flotation tests were carried out on the Wulan lead-zinc sulfide ore in Inner Mongolia with the depressant of 25# aerofloat and without the usage of sphalerite. Lead concentrate with grade of 71.59% and recovery of 96.87% and zinc concentrate with grade of 46.41% and recovery of 87.89% were obtained separately. Furthermore, the grade and recovery of silver in the lead concentrate can reach 1 400 g/t and 83.90%, and the contents of arsenic in the two concentrates can meet the quality requirements. Comparing with the results of using of 25# aerofloat as collectors and sphalerite as depressant, the zinc content of lead concentrate is 1.02% higher, while the lead grade is 8.06% higher, and other indexes are corresponding relatively. By this method, the reagent system and the process can be greatly simplified, and the reagent consumption can be saved dramatically.
