Abstract: Took stone-coal vanadium tailing as the main Si-Al materials for ceramsite synthesis, the influence of the content of the clay and the fly ash, pellitezation parameters and roasting conditions was studied. The results show that when the ratio of vanadium tailing, fly ash and clay is 6∶3∶1,granulating water is 8%,granulating time is 20 min,the green balls are roasted when preheating temperature is 350  ℃,the time is 30 min and the roasting temperature is 1 180  ℃ and the time 12 min.The bulk density of porcelain granule is 691 kg/m3,the water absorption is 1.4% and the compression strength is 10.7 MPa.XRD and SEM analysis indicate that in the process of ceramsite synthesis, mullite and amorphous state has been generated, which significantly affects the strength of ceramsite.
