Abstract: The paper specifies the important position of India iron ore in China's imported iron ores, outlines its characteristics and analyzes its quality problems in moisture, iron grade, particle size and impurity element content and their causes. The countermeasures and suggestions are therefore made on eliminating the quality problems in India iron ore such as to standardize the import channel, to strengthen the exchange and share of the inspection information of imported iron ore, to promote the technical exchange and cooperation between China and India in iron ore inspection, to push the implementation of pre-loading inspection and to further clarify the related clauses in iron ore contracts.
