Abstract: Bolun roasted iron ore in Xinjiang by magnetic separation produces iron concentrates that have an iron grade of only about 60% but SiO2 content more than 10%. In order to increase the quality of iron concentrate, using GE-609 developed by Wuhan university of technology as collector, get the satisfactory results of the grade of concentrates and the recovery being 65.59% Fe and 95.94% respectively. However, the grade of reverse flotation tailings is still as high as 21.36%. With a process consisting of reverse flotation, middling regrinding and low  intensity magnetic separation, gaining the tailing containing Fe 14.87%. The iron concentrate of low intensity magnetic separation with Fe grade 38.12% can be returned to the flotation operation.
