Abstract: Based on the exploratory experiment by the methods of separation in heavy liquid and high intensity magnetic separation，according to the gravity separation method carried out several flow-sheets to the low grade chromium ore containing Cr₂O₃ about 14%. The results show that after grinding the raw ore to the particle size at -0.076 mm 50%，then separating to +0.076 mm and -0.076 mm two size fraction，by gravity separation with shaking table，can get the concentrate with the grade of Cr₂O₃ at 45.64%，recovery at 67.99%. These provide a basis for reasonable utilization to this kind low grade chromium ore.
