Abstract: Taking a low-sulfur low-phosphorus limonite with the Aphanitic gel structures in Hunan as a case, the technical conditions of the magnetic roasting and grinding are studied. The optimal technical conditions are determined as follows: the fineness of pelletizing ore is -0.074 mm 35%,the dosage of reducing coal is 10% of the ore samples, the optimum sintering temperature is at 800 ℃ for 80 min,the grinding fineness of the calcined product -0.045 mm accounts for 80%,the magnetic field strength in the low intensity magnetic separation is 90 kA/m.Under the above conditions, the concentrate with Fe grade of 58.83% and Fe recovery of 81.19% was ultimately achieved by the process of one-roughing and one-cleaning low intensity magnetic separation.
